Francesca Goodman-Smith to start new role at Fight Food Waste CRC

The research theme’s Industry Representative Francesca Goodman-Smith is all set to cross the ditch to take up a her new role as Head of the “Transform” Research team for Australia’s Fight Food Waste Cooperative Research Centre next month. Goodman-Smith will leave her current role as Waste Minimisation Manager at Foodstuffs NZ and relocate to Brisbane. Fight Food Waste CRC CEO Dr Steven Lapidge quoted Goodman-Smith’s expertise in the upcycled food space as what made her the ‘obvious choice’ for the role. “She is literally writing the book on the emerging upcycled food industry as co-chair of the Upcycled Food Standards Committee in the Upcycled Food Association, USA” Says Lapidge of his new employee.

We wish Francesca all the best on her new adventure and can’t wait to see what she, and the CRC get up to in the upcycled food space.
