Rescued grapes served as Christmas wine

Way back in March we got the call that there were some grapes at the Vice Chancellor’s residence that needed rescuing. Without hesitation, our team descended on the glasshouse in the suburb of Saint Leonard’s and set to picking buckets full of these grapes to take back to our upcycled food lab scientists.

Nine months later, after the Upcycled Food Lab had worked their magic, we enjoyed the literal fruits of our labour in the form of sparkling wine, and home made sangria at the Food Science Department Christmas function, held at our Director Miranda Mirosa’s house.

We think its great that these grapes were able to make it to Christmas. Kai pai everyone, and happy holidays!
