Food waste in Australia and New Zealand

About this resource: This book chapter is part of a wider compilation of food waste research, the routledge Handbook of Food Waste. The second half of this particular chapter provides a succinct yet comprehensive summary of food waste research and policy in New Zealand to date. The chapter notes an uptake in food waste research in New Zealand around 2013-2014 which is continuing to grow. The chapter also notes a lack of research at the production end of the supply chain and details other priorities for food waste research and policy in New Zealand going forward.
