A new chapter for Food Waste Innovation

We’re pleased to welcome Professor Sheila Skeaff as Director, and Dr. Jessica O’Connor as Deputy Director of our research theme.

A huge thank you to Professor Miranda Mirosa and Professor Phil Bremer for their leadership and contribution to building and championing food loss and waste research in Aotearoa. Miranda and Phil will be staying involved with Food Waste Innovation as key advisors.

At Food Waste Innovation, our focus is on building the evidence needed to address food loss and waste. Collecting robust data, stress-testing interventions, and using science to understand and apply what actually works. Sheila and Jessica have plenty of ideas, research projects, and an event coming over the next 12 months.
