Mapping food waste on campus

As part of the APPS499 paper, Human Nutrition students have been mapping all the places and events on campus where food waste may occur. This information will be used to facilitate an audit of food waste on campus in 2022.

This project was then carried on by Human Nutrition summer student Tessa Honeyfield. Tessa helped create an interactive map of potential locations and volumes of food waste on campus.

The hope is that this map will be utilised later in 2022 to develop an auditing process and identify potential opportunities for food waste reduction and diversion on campus.
