Upcoming Event: Upcycled Food Dining Experience

Join Food Waste Innovation and Everybody Eats for a unique ‘upcycled’ dining experience as part of the New Zealand International Science Festival next month. This event will be held at vegan café Kind Company and will be 100% vegan.

Tickets are limited, so book now.

Event Details:

When: 16 July 5:30pm - 7:00pm and 7:30pm - 9:00pm
Where: Kind Company, 333 George Street, Dunedin
$$: 10 reservation, pay-as-you-feel on the night

“While enjoying a three course meal, you will learn the science behind upcycled foods from experts from the University of Otago Food Waste Innovation’s Upcycled Food Lab.

Upcycled foods are made from ingredients that would usually been thrown out. This unique meal will be prepared by chefs from Everybody Eats, a pay-as-you-feel dining experience available in Auckland and Wellington that serves delicious, nutritious meals "that feed bellies, not bins".

Food for the meal will be supplied by KiwiHarvest, a food rescue organisation that originated in Dunedin. Due to limited space, we are requesting a $10 reservation fee in advance; then you pay-as-you-feel for the meal on the night.

All proceeds from the evening will go to Everybody Eats and KiwiHarvest to help them in their mahi to feed the hungry and reduce food waste.”
